1General Acceptable Use
You may use 255 Services only for lawful, authorized, and legitimate business purposes.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Services, including activities performed by your employees, team members, contractors, or other authorized users, complies with this AUP.
You must not use the Services in a way that:
- Violates applicable law or regulation
- Violates another person's rights
- Violates applicable third-party platform policies
- Interferes with the security or operation of the Services
- Exposes 255, its customers, service providers, or third parties to unreasonable legal, security, or reputational risk
2Illegal Activities
You may not use the Services to engage in, promote, facilitate, or knowingly support illegal activities.
This includes using the Services to:
- Commit fraud
- Facilitate theft
- Facilitate financial crimes
- Distribute illegal goods or services
- Facilitate unlawful transactions
- Violate applicable sanctions or trade restrictions
- Violate applicable consumer-protection laws
- Violate privacy or data-protection laws
- Violate telecommunications or marketing laws
255 may restrict or terminate Services where we reasonably believe they are being used for unlawful activity.
3Fraud, Deception, and Impersonation
You may not use 255 to engage in fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading activity.
Prohibited activities include:
- Phishing
- Credential theft
- Identity theft
- Fraudulent offers
- Fake businesses
- Deceptive promotions
- Materially misleading advertisements
- Unauthorized impersonation
- Misrepresenting your identity or affiliation
- Misrepresenting products, services, prices, or offers
- Creating deceptive landing pages or forms
- Collecting information under false pretenses
You must accurately represent your business and the nature of communications sent through the Services.
4Spam and Unsolicited Communications
You may not use 255 to send unlawful spam or other communications prohibited by applicable law.
You are responsible for ensuring that recipients have provided any consent or authorization required for the communication being sent.
You may not:
- Send unlawful bulk messages
- Send marketing messages without legally required consent
- Use unlawfully obtained contact lists
- Use purchased or scraped lists where their use would violate applicable law or provider requirements
- Continue marketing to recipients who have validly opted out
- Conceal or falsify sender identity
- Use deceptive subject lines
- Circumvent spam-prevention systems
- Circumvent sending restrictions
Applicable email, SMS, calling, and messaging requirements must be followed.
5SMS and MMS Messaging
If you use 255 to send SMS or MMS messages, you are responsible for complying with applicable telecommunications, consumer-protection, carrier, registration, and consent requirements.
You must:
- Obtain required consent before sending messages
- Maintain appropriate evidence of consent where required
- Clearly identify the sender where required
- Honor valid opt-out requests
- Follow applicable STOP and HELP requirements
- Avoid deceptive or misleading messaging
- Follow applicable carrier and messaging-provider requirements
- Use registered messaging campaigns where required
You may not intentionally bypass messaging-registration, filtering, carrier, or compliance requirements.

6Email Communications
If you use 255 to send commercial email, you are responsible for complying with applicable email-marketing laws and provider requirements.
You must not:
- Use materially deceptive sender information
- Use materially deceptive subject lines
- Send unlawful unsolicited commercial email
- Ignore applicable unsubscribe requests
- Circumvent email-provider restrictions
- Use unauthorized mailing lists
Where legally required, commercial messages must contain appropriate identification, disclosures, and unsubscribe functionality.
7Telephone Calls and Voice Communications
If the Services provide calling, voice, recording, or automated communication functionality, you are responsible for complying with applicable laws concerning:
- Calling consent
- Telemarketing
- Do-not-call requirements
- Automated calls
- Prerecorded communications
- Call recording
- Monitoring
- Disclosure requirements
You are responsible for determining whether consent from one or all parties is required before recording or monitoring a communication.
8Social Media Use
When connecting Facebook, Instagram, Google, LinkedIn, TikTok, or another supported third-party service, you must comply with that platform's applicable terms, policies, developer requirements, and community standards.
You may not use 255 to:
- Gain unauthorized access to social accounts
- Circumvent platform restrictions
- Artificially manipulate engagement
- Conduct unauthorized automated activity
- Publish unlawful content
- Engage in deceptive impersonation
- Abuse platform APIs
- Violate advertising policies
- Violate applicable platform messaging requirements
Access to third-party integrations may be restricted if necessary to comply with provider requirements.
9Advertising
Advertising created, managed, published, or connected through 255 must comply with applicable laws and the policies of the advertising platform being used.
You are responsible for:
- Accuracy of advertising claims
- Accuracy of pricing and offers
- Product and service eligibility
- Landing-page compliance
- Required disclosures
- Targeting practices
- Obtaining required consent
- Protecting customer information
- Compliance with regulated-industry requirements
You may not use 255 to intentionally circumvent advertising review or enforcement systems.
10Privacy and Personal Information
You may process personal information through 255 only where you have appropriate authority or legal basis to do so.
You are responsible for:
- Providing required privacy notices
- Obtaining required consent
- Honoring applicable privacy rights
- Maintaining appropriate records
- Protecting personal information
- Limiting collection to appropriate purposes
- Following applicable retention requirements
You must not use 255 to unlawfully obtain, disclose, sell, share, or otherwise process personal information.
11Sensitive Personal Information
You must exercise particular care when processing information that may be considered sensitive under applicable law.
You may not use the Services to unlawfully collect, infer, exploit, disclose, target, or discriminate against individuals based on sensitive personal information.
Depending on applicable law, sensitive information may include information relating to matters such as:
- Health
- Financial information
- Government identifiers
- Precise geolocation
- Race or ethnicity
- Religious beliefs
- Sexual orientation
- Biometric information
- Genetic information
- Information concerning children
- Other legally protected information
You are responsible for determining whether additional legal requirements apply to your processing.
12Customer Lists and Lead Data
You may upload or process customer and lead information only when you have appropriate authority to use that information.
You may not use 255 to:
- Process stolen databases
- Use unlawfully scraped personal information
- Upload lists obtained through fraud
- Use contact lists in violation of applicable consent requirements
- Circumvent opt-outs
- Combine data in an unlawful or deceptive manner
You are responsible for maintaining appropriate evidence of consent or authorization where required.
13Security and Unauthorized Access
You may not:
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services
- Access another customer's account without authorization
- Probe or scan systems for vulnerabilities without authorization
- Circumvent authentication
- Circumvent access controls
- Steal credentials
- Distribute malware
- Introduce malicious code
- Interfere with service availability
- Conduct denial-of-service attacks
- Exploit vulnerabilities
- Attempt to bypass rate limits or security controls

14Platform Abuse
You may not use automated or manual methods to interfere with or abuse the 255 Platform.
Prohibited activity includes:
- Excessive automated requests intended to disrupt the Services
- Unauthorized scraping
- Circumventing usage restrictions
- Circumventing account limits
- Creating accounts to evade enforcement
- Manipulating platform metrics
- Reverse engineering where prohibited by law or agreement
- Reselling unauthorized access
- Sharing access in violation of applicable subscription terms
15Artificial Intelligence and Automation
Where 255 provides AI or automation features, you are responsible for their configuration and use.
You must not intentionally use AI or automation features to:
- Commit fraud
- Conduct phishing
- Impersonate individuals deceptively
- Generate unlawful spam
- Circumvent consent requirements
- Violate intellectual property rights
- Facilitate illegal activity
- Make unlawful discriminatory decisions
- Mislead individuals about material matters
- Generate or distribute malicious code
- Circumvent safety or security controls
AI-generated content should be appropriately reviewed before being published, sent, or relied upon.
16Intellectual Property
You may not use the Services to unlawfully infringe:
- Copyright
- Trademark rights
- Patent rights
- Trade secrets
- Publicity rights
- Other intellectual property rights
You must have appropriate rights or authorization for content you upload, publish, distribute, advertise, or otherwise use through the Services.
17Harmful and Abusive Content
You may not use the Services to distribute content that is unlawful or that facilitates serious harm.
This includes content used to:
- Make credible threats of violence
- Harass individuals unlawfully
- Facilitate exploitation
- Promote criminal activity
- Distribute malicious software
- Facilitate fraud
- Facilitate trafficking or exploitation
- Facilitate other unlawful harmful activity
Nothing in this section is intended to prohibit lawful speech or legitimate business activity.
18Children and Minors
You may not knowingly use the Services to unlawfully collect, process, target, or exploit personal information belonging to children or minors.
If your business provides products or services involving minors, you are responsible for determining and complying with applicable:
- Age requirements
- Parental consent requirements
- Privacy requirements
- Advertising restrictions
- Data-protection obligations
19Regulated Industries
Businesses operating in regulated industries are responsible for ensuring their use of 255 complies with applicable laws, licensing requirements, professional rules, advertising restrictions, and industry-specific obligations.
Use of 255 does not constitute legal approval of a customer's business, campaign, offer, or communication.
Additional restrictions may be imposed by third-party providers or advertising platforms.
20Third-Party Platform Rules
Certain 255 functionality depends on third-party providers.
Your use of these integrations may be subject to additional requirements imposed by providers such as Google, Meta, telecommunications providers, payment processors, email providers, social networks, and other integrated services.
You must not use 255 to intentionally violate or circumvent applicable third-party policies.
Where necessary, 255 may restrict functionality to maintain compliance with third-party requirements.
21Payment and Financial Abuse
You may not use the Services to:
- Facilitate fraudulent payments
- Process stolen payment credentials
- Deceive customers regarding charges
- Facilitate unlawful financial activity
- Circumvent payment-provider restrictions
- Misrepresent transactions
Payment-related functionality may also be subject to the terms and acceptable-use requirements of the applicable payment provider.
22Compliance Monitoring and Investigation
255 may take reasonable steps to investigate suspected violations of this AUP.
Where permitted by law and consistent with our Privacy Policy, this may include reviewing relevant:
- Account information
- Usage patterns
- Technical logs
- Abuse reports
- Messaging activity
- Security information
We may request additional information where reasonably necessary to evaluate compliance.
23Enforcement
If we reasonably determine that an account or activity violates this AUP, applicable law, or provider requirements, we may take appropriate action.
Depending on the circumstances, this may include:
- Providing a warning
- Requesting corrective action
- Restricting functionality
- Blocking particular communications
- Removing unlawful content
- Temporarily suspending access
- Terminating access
- Reporting unlawful activity where legally required or appropriate
The response may depend on the severity, frequency, and potential harm associated with the violation.
In urgent security, fraud, legal, or abuse situations, immediate action may be taken where appropriate.
24Circumvention
You may not attempt to circumvent enforcement taken under this AUP.
This includes:
- Creating replacement accounts to evade suspension
- Using another account to continue prohibited activity
- Manipulating identity information
- Circumventing sending restrictions
- Circumventing security controls
- Circumventing third-party provider restrictions
Attempts to evade enforcement may result in additional account restrictions.
25Reporting Abuse
If you believe 255 Services are being used for spam, fraud, phishing, unlawful activity, security abuse, or another violation of this AUP, contact:

Please provide sufficient information for us to evaluate the report.
Do not send passwords, authentication codes, API keys, or other sensitive credentials in an abuse report.
26Changes to This Policy
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy periodically to reflect changes in:
- Our Services
- Technology
- Security requirements
- Third-party platform requirements
- Industry standards
- Applicable laws and regulations
When this policy changes, we will update the Last Updated date.
Where required, additional notice of material changes may be provided.
